Umm Musa The Patient, Faithful One

This story tells about the life of Umm Musa, the mother of Prophet Musa, peace be upon them. She was a woman of great faith and patience. When Pharaoh ordered that all baby boys be killed, Allah inspired her to put her baby Musa in a basket and place him in the river, promising that He would protect him and return him to her. Imagine the strength and trust she had to let go of her baby, trusting fully in Allah’s promise. Allah made the basket reach the palace of Pharaoh, where Musa was raised, safe and unharmed. Later, Allah returned Musa to his mother so she could nurse him and find comfort again. Her story teaches us that even in the hardest times, patience and trust in Allah bring peace and victory. She shows us what it means to have true reliance on Allah.
