On Saturday morning, the friends gathered at Mazen’s house to study and then share the Prophet’s ﷺ third piece of advice to Abu Hurayra. Before they could begin, something unexpected happened. Their neighbor, Uncle Fareed, came to complain to Mazen’s father about the boys playing football and disturbing him. His words were sharp, and the boys felt worried that they had caused a problem.
After Uncle Fareed left, Mazen’s father explained the situation and asked the boys to think of a solution. Mazen and his friends remembered the Prophet’s advice: being good to one’s neighbor is a sign of true belief. They decided to act upon this teaching by apologizing sincerely.
With their father’s permission, they prepared a small gift of dates and wrote a kind apology note. When they visited Uncle Fareed, he was surprised and very pleased by their good manners. His anger disappeared, and peace was restored. The boys learned that a true believer shows kindness, respect, and care for neighbors, just as the Prophet ﷺ taught.
