Description
This story follows Bobby Duck, who dreams of joining the swimming school and becoming a great swimmer. He is excited and eager to prove that he is ready. However, Captain Splash gives him a strange test with a cake. Bobby thinks the test is about how much he can eat, so he keeps trying to eat more each day.
Even after eating a quarter, half, and then the whole cake, Bobby is still not accepted. He feels confused and upset because he does not understand what he did wrong. With the help of Granny Willow, Bobby finally learns the truth.
The test was not about eating at all. It was about sharing. Captain Splash wanted to see if Bobby could think of others and share with his classmates. Bobby realizes that being “big” does not mean being strong or greedy, but being kind and caring.
