On Thursday, the friends noticed that Bilal was missing from their meeting where they were supposed to share the Prophet’s ﷺ second piece of advice to Abu Hurayra. He had also missed the school celebration for winning the football match, which made everyone think he must be very sad. Worried about him, the friends decided to visit Bilal at his home.
They found Bilal sick and resting in his bed, but to their surprise, he was calm and smiling. Even though he had missed the celebration, Bilal accepted Allah’s decree with patience. Mazen explained that Bilal was living the Prophet’s second piece of advice: being satisfied with what Allah has given makes a person truly rich.
Bilal shared that although he felt a little sad at first, he remembered Allah’s many blessings, such as his family, his health, and his loyal friends. The boys learned that real richness is not money or prizes, but a heart full of gratitude and contentment.
