This story follows Yunus, a boy who has always been good at math, but secretly dislikes it. When his mom becomes tired because she is expecting a new baby, she cannot help him study like before. As a result, Yunus fails his math test for the first time.
Instead of taking his mom’s advice to buy a math workbook, Yunus decides to spend the money on snacks. At the shop, he faces a simple math situation at the cashier—but he cannot understand it. This makes him feel embarrassed and confused, especially as people around him begin to complain.
At that moment, Yunus realizes that math is not useless after all. It helps in everyday life, even in simple situations like buying things. Feeling regret, he returns the snacks and chooses to buy a workbook instead.
This story teaches children that learning is important, even when it feels difficult or boring. It shows that knowledge helps us in real life and encourages kids to take responsibility for their learning.
