Description

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him said: "Exchange gifts, for this will increase love between you." This saying from the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him shows us a truth. Exchanging gifts is not something we do with other people. It is a way to make love grow between people. When a Muslim gives a gift he is showing that he is a person. He is also showing that he cares about people. If his heart is pure giving a gift becomes a way for him to get closer to God.

The story called "The Gift – Part Two" is part of a series called "Manarah Akhlaq – Arabic Stories." This story continues from where "The Gift – Part One" left off. Our main character learned how to receive a gift with a heart and say thank you sincerely. Now he wants to give a gift to someone he loves. He wants to make that person happy.. Giving a gift is not as easy as it seems. Our main character starts to wonder if he should give a gift to make people praise him.. Should he give a gift to make someone happy? Is a gift always better than a small one? What makes a gift special in Islam?

This story teaches us some things.

- What we think when we do something is very important. If we give a gift because we want to God will like it more than a big gift given just to get praise.

- We should give gifts because we want to not because we want people to see us.

- Giving gifts makes us happy not just getting gifts. When we give someone a gift and see them happy it makes our heart feel happy.

- When we feel happy to get a gift we will want to give a gift

- A gift is like a bridge between peoples hearts, like the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him taught us.

This story along with the part teaches children about being thankful and generous in a beautiful way. It is written in an meaningful style and it is good for children who are 4 to 8 years old.
