Description

It was the year 5 AH. The enemies of Islam formed a coalition called the Confederates or Al-Ahzab. They united thousands of warriors from the Quraysh, the Ghatafan tribe and other groups. Their goal was to destroy the community in Madinah.

This event became one of the amazing chapters in Islamic history. It was a battle won not by fighting in the field but by being clever, patient, united and with the help of Allah.

The book, The Battle of Al-Ahzab by Manarah Publishing tells this story for readers. It is a story of depth, authenticity and inspiration.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ made a smart decision. Salman Al-Farisi suggested digging a trench along Madinahs approach. This was a tactic in Arabian warfare. Thousands of Companions including the Prophet ﷺ dug day and night. They were tired and hungry. They kept going because of their faith and the Prophets promise of victory.

When the Confederate army arrived they found the trench blocking their way. They were stopped. The siege lasted a time. Tensions rose. Some people inside the city spread fear. The enemy looked for a way

Then something amazing happened. Nu'aym ibn Masud secretly converted to Islam. He tricked the leaders into not trusting each other. This broke the coalition from within.

After that a strong windstorm came. It scattered the enemy camp. Drove them home in disarray.

The Battle of Al-Ahzab teaches readers:

* That being clever and strategic with wisdom and good advice is a thing in Islam.

* The power of unity, sacrifice and community when facing challenges.

* That truly relying on Allah doesn't mean doing nothing. It means doing your best and then trusting in His plan.

* How one person with faith like Nu'aym ibn Masud can change history.

This book is written by scholars from Al-Azhar University and Cairo University. It is part of the Battles of the Prophet ﷺ Series by Manarah Publishing. The series tells Islamic history in a clear and powerful way, for the next generation.
