Description
Tilly the Turtle wants everyone to notice her and like her more. One day, she rushes through the meadow without thinking. She steps on Milo’s tail, ruins Eddie’s drawing, and scatters Flix’s flowers, but she does not stop to say sorry.
Tilly goes to Grandma Shelly and asks for a special medicine that will make everyone love and respect her. Grandma Shelly gives her a small bottle, and Tilly drinks it quickly, hoping for a big change.
But when Tilly returns to her friends, no one wants to play with her. She feels confused and upset. When she goes back to Grandma Shelly, she learns that the “magic” only works with a secret word: “Sorry.”
Tilly returns to her friends and sincerely apologizes to each one. Slowly, their smiles return, and they welcome her back.
This story teaches children that kind and polite words are very powerful. Saying “sorry” can fix mistakes and bring people closer together. Tilly learns that respect and friendship come from good behavior, not magic.
