The period between which students study for their first three years represents the crucial period that Islamic education identifies as its peak educational moment. Students who complete Level 1 and Level 2 arrive at this point with established basic knowledge of aqidah, worship, and etiquette. The students have now achieved sufficient knowledge to advance into studies that require advanced understanding together with more complex Islamic teachings. The Nour Al-Islam Level 3 exists to transition 8-9 year old Grade 3 students into their Islamic studies journey which begins at the base level and continues into the intermediate stage. The #1 AQI curriculum series which Islamic schools worldwide adopt as their primary program uses Nour Al-Islam Level 3 to expand and deepen its core subject matter throughout all main academic fields. Level 3 teaches students about Islamic Creed through the advanced study of tawhid which includes three basic categories of tawhid (tawhid al-rububiyyah, tawhid al-uluhiyyah, tawhid al-asma' wa al-sifat) and the introduction of shirk, which means associating partners with Allah. The students will acquire deeper knowledge about Allah's names and attributes which will help them build a closer, more respectful bond with their Creator. The students in Level 3 will learn about worship through a comprehensive study of all aspects of Salah which includes its establishment requirements and fundamental components. Students will learn about the complete Hajj rites through practical demonstrations which will show them the details of its rituals. They will learn about Zakat and fasting as they study both practices in greater detail. The concept of ihsan (doing everything with excellence and consciousness of Allah) is introduced as the highest level of worship.Islamic History and Seerah: the stories of the prophets (qisas al-anbiya') receive their first structured treatment in Level 3 - key prophets including Adam, Ibrahim, Musa, and Isa (peace be upon them all) are introduced with their stories, their missions, and the lessons they carry. The Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) continues with the period of revelation and early Islam in Makkah.Akhlaq (Islamic Manners and Character): the Level 3 character curriculum addresses more complex social situations - conflict resolution, jealousy and its remedies, the Islamic approach to friendship, and the manners of dealing with non-Muslims in ways that reflect the Prophet's example.The Nour Al-Islam curriculum series is used in Islamic schools across North America, the Middle East, Europe, and beyond. Level 3 is the essential continuation for students who have completed Levels 1 and 2, and it prepares them for the more substantial content of Levels 4-6.
