A child who has finished Nour Al-Islam Level 1 enters into Grade 2 having already gained the critical initial knowledge in Islam which includes basic aqidah concepts, introduction to the five pillars, Islamic manners, and developing a relationship with Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Quran. Level 2 Nour Al-Islam provides development along every aspect of this knowledge with the same meticulousness and precision that one expects from the Manarah Curriculum series. Part of the #1 AQI curriculum series found in Islamic schools around the globe, Nour Al-Islam Level 2 is the Islamic curriculum intended for Grade 2 pupils (aged 7-8 years) and covers the Islamic curriculum in all its four fundamental aspects: Aqidah (Islamic Creed): The six pillars of faith (arkan al-iman) including faith in Allah, angels, scriptures, messengers, Hereafter, and qadar are introduced in Level 2 with the same depth and precision at a Grade 2 level of knowledge. Allah’s Attributes (Sifat Allah) are presented in greater detail, with simplified explanations of some essential Divine names and attributes.Ibadat (Acts of Worship): Detailed descriptions of the procedures involved in salah are emphasized in Level 2, including the actions, the supplications, and their meanings, the requirements for valid prayers, and the necessity of performing prayers on time and attentively. The concepts of zakat and Ramadan are also elaborated further, and students are acquainted with the pillar of hajj. The book equips students with all the necessary information that enables them to offer worship properly.Seerah (Prophetic Biography): In Level 2, students will learn about the important incidents of the Prophet’s life (SAW) along with his manners and characteristics. Selected stories about the Prophet’s (SAW) interaction with his companions and non-Muslims are also included in this section to convey the same Islamic teachings which students are learning. The stories are narrated in a way that builds genuine love for the Prophet alongside factual knowledge.Akhlaq (Islamic Manners and Character): Grade 2 students explore a richer set of Islamic values and manners - honesty, generosity, caring for parents, respect for scholars and elders, and the Islamic etiquette of eating, visiting, and interacting in various social contexts.
