This story teaches children how to choose good friends and stand up for what is right. Bobby Duck has a friend named Rascal, but Rascal often asks him to do wrong things. First, he tells Bobby to make fun of Grace the Giraffe, even though she is kind. Bobby feels scared of losing his friend, so he listens and hurts Grace’s feelings.
Then Rascal pushes Bobby to do something dangerous—climbing a tall tree, even though Bobby is afraid and not able to climb well. When Bobby gets stuck and needs help, Rascal leaves him alone. This is when Bobby realizes that Rascal is not a true friend.
Thankfully, Grace comes to help him, even after he was mean to her. Bobby feels sorry and learns an important lesson.
