Description
In A Message from the River, Laila notices something unusual about the river near her home. The water does not look as clear as it usually does, and something nearby catches her attention. When she takes a closer look, she discovers a small turtle in need of help.
Laila’s encounter with the turtle leads her to discover that the river is facing serious problems. As she learns more, she realizes that pollution can affect not only the water itself, but also the animals, plants, and other living things that depend on it.
Together with Adam and Bassy the Cat, Laila begins to think about what they can do to help. Their experience teaches young readers that protecting nature is not only the responsibility of adults. Children can also make a difference by paying attention, speaking up, sharing important messages, and encouraging others to care for their environment.
Through a touching story filled with friendship, compassion, and a little surprise, A Message from the River helps children understand why clean water is so important and why every living creature deserves care and protection.
With simple language and an inspiring environmental message, this story encourages young readers to become thoughtful Little Earth Friends who care for water, animals, plants, and the world around them.
