As the end-of-year exams came closer, Mazen and his friends worked hard and helped one another by sharing study summaries online. When they learned that their classmate Ibrahim was sick and could not study, they suggested sending him their summaries. Everyone agreed, except Tariq, who felt it was unfair to share what they had worked hard to prepare.
The next day, Tariq became sick himself and asked his friends to send him the summaries. Mazen and the others used this moment to help Tariq understand his mistake. Tariq quickly realized how wrong he had been and felt regret for refusing to help Ibrahim.
Mazen then reminded the group of the Prophet’s ﷺ fourth piece of advice to Abu Hurayra: loving for others what you love for yourself makes a person a true Muslim. Tariq agreed to share the summaries with Ibrahim and even invited him to join their group.
In the end, the friends learned that true Islam teaches kindness, fairness, and caring for others, especially in times of need.
