Description
The Battle of Banu Qaynuqaʿ teaches an important lesson about keeping promises, respecting agreements, and protecting the Muslim community. Banu Qaynuqaʿ were one of the Jewish tribes living in Madinah, and they had a treaty with the Muslims. This treaty required peace and cooperation. However, they broke the treaty and caused trouble in the city. The most serious incident was when they harmed a Muslim woman in the marketplace, which caused great sadness and anger. When the Muslims asked them to stop their aggression, they refused and continued their harmful actions. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stood firmly to protect the rights and safety of the Muslims, especially women. After a short conflict, Banu Qaynuqaʿ were defeated and expelled from Madinah. This event reminds us that Islam protects dignity and honors the weak. It also shows that a strong and safe community can only exist when everyone respects their agreements.
